March 2024 Progress Update


SKINBAG PROGRESS!!   Minor bug fixes, Snailuel, and  a screenshot of the third section.

Overall  Progress

Although slow due to how much schoolwork I've had recently, the game is still progressing! I'm making songs and drawing doodles of characters to be added.  As spring break approaches though, I've been preparing for all the things I want to get done with the game, and hopefully it is a very productive week!

Snailuel is the first random encounter of the third section!  He is a growing boy, with  rapidly shrinking space in his house for his growing mass.  He really makes me uncomfortable. I feel those photos aren't enough to capture who he is, so I made a video.

(Perfectly captures his essence. I really just don't like it. (Affectionate))

Moving On...

Along with this status update, I'm releasing a small update to the demo!

  • Added WASD and Arrow Key control toggles, both when you first open the game, and inside the pause menu!
  • Fixed several issue with the item menu in the pause menu.
  • Fixed a crash with save  point burgers.
  • Adjusted a few lines of dialogue.


(The first time different elevations show up in the game! I'm really proud of the tileset here.)

 Closing Thoughts

And that's it!   Same as last time, I'm grasping at straws figuring out what to say. I have a lot in the works, and I'm not exactly sure how much is normal to share in these updates. So, for anyone reading this, please! Let me know what you want to see more of! Art, music, or just videos of gameplay,  I have  enough to go around, I'm just not sure of what to share.
